Terms of Service
Last updated: 2026-10-04
These terms govern the use of Qlyne (the "Service"), operated by [company name] ("we"). By creating an account you accept them for yourself or for the business you represent ("you").
1. The Service
Qlyne puts a virtual waiting room, bot protection and traffic rules in front of websites and APIs you control. It includes a dashboard, an API, a waiting room page, a browser widget and a connector that runs in your own Cloudflare account.
2. Pilot
The Service is in a pilot phase. Accounts start on the Free plan, which is free of charge. During the pilot we may turn on the Pro plan for free for a set period; when that period ends, the account goes back to the Free plan on its own, and the Pro rules stop applying but stay saved. Features may change. We will announce any pricing at least 30 days before it applies to you, and you can stop using the Service at any time.
3. Your account
Give accurate information and keep your API key, connector secret and password confidential. You are responsible for what is done with your account. If you believe a credential was exposed, rotate it in the dashboard and tell us at [contact e-mail].
4. Your sites
Use the Service only on websites and APIs you own or are authorized to protect. You choose the rules (who waits, what is challenged or blocked) and you are responsible for their effect on your visitors, including informing them where the law requires, for example about the cookies the Service sets on your site.
5. Acceptable use
Do not use the Service to attack, probe or overload any system, to collect data about people without a legal basis, to get around the protections of others or for anything unlawful. We may suspend an account that does.
6. Software
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable license to run the connector, the widget and the waiting room page, as we provide them, only to use the Service on your sites. You may not modify, decompile or reverse engineer them (except where the law allows it despite this restriction), redistribute or sublicense them, or use them to build a competing service. The Service and its software remain ours.
7. Availability
We work to keep the Service available but do not guarantee it during the pilot. The connector and the widget let traffic through when they cannot reach the Service: during an outage, protection may stop, and your site keeps working.
8. Data
We process data about your visitors on your behalf, only to provide the Service, as described in the Privacy Policy. For that data you are the controller and we are the processor. We do not sell it or use it for advertising.
9. Feedback
If you send us suggestions, we may use them without any obligation to you.
10. Termination
You can close your account at any time by writing to [contact e-mail]. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts the Service or others at risk, and we may end the pilot with 30 days' notice. After an account is closed, its data is deleted as described in the Privacy Policy.
11. Disclaimer
The Service is provided "as is". No protection stops every attack, and we do not guarantee that the Service will block every bot, avoid every outage or fit a particular purpose.
12. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect damages, lost profits, lost revenue or lost data, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or USD 100 while the Service is free. Nothing here limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited, including consumer rights.
13. Changes
We may update these terms. We will tell you by e-mail or in the dashboard at least 15 days before a material change takes effect; using the Service after that date means you accept the new terms.
14. Law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of [jurisdiction], and its courts have jurisdiction, except where the law gives you the right to another forum. Contact: [contact e-mail].
